We live in inner SE Portland at SE 42nd and Powell and would like to find other farm members who live nearby or in metro area to share pick up.
We have a station wagon and would like to pick up once a month...or less!
We're new to this farm community and looking forward to meeting fellow members.

I live in Brentwood near SE 82nd and Johnson Creek. I'd be happy to pick up food for others and make it available at my house. I'm already registered as a pickup site for the farm and I have a cooler setup for it.
If you want me to get your food for you let me know. My number is 503-928-4739 and my e-mail is mamono@gmail.com

Wow! That's a great offer.
That's a lot for one person to take on.
My idea was to form a group of people living in the area, plan a schedule and have everyone take a turn so one person isn't doing all the work.

So did you both already have set days at your drop sites? I am in Milwaukie, but very close to Johnson Creek. My current drop site is Lents with a Wednesday pick up, and we may be working something out, but it hasn't really taken form yet.

I am the original poster but for some reason cannot get into the forum through FB as I did before, so had to set up new account.
Anyway, is it starting this week? I am new to the farm so never had a drop site / pick up site. They delivered full diet to my door on Tuesdays.

Emma and Jerri, I've already started working on something with someone and it would be great to get more added in. Could you please provide me with some kind of contact info so we can organize this? The message boards are a little bit cumbersome. My contact info is above in a previous post.

I would like to join up with the Johnson Creek/82nd or 42nd/Powell people. I am near SE Stark and SE 122nd, but your houses would only be 15 minutes from me, which is much closer than the farm.
My phone number is 503-985-6543

Levi, my email address is jerrilynn.nall@gmail.com. My cell is 503-313-9226. My only concern is whether or not we have to fill baskets for everyone else when we pick up. It sounds like it from the email on July 19th we are responsible for that. That is difficult for someone to do for everyone else, especially when you are "choosing" which produce among the produce. Also, in theory the pick up times/windows are a good idea, but I could not have signed up for such times had I a choice when signing up for the CSA. Tuesdays 5:30-7 are the bewitching dinner hours (and not to mention traffic), and Saturdays I can almost guarantee I will have softball or soccer each time. I may have to bail, but would like to see what you have been thinking.

Hi, I'm Marissa (Tora is my nickname, feel free to call me by either).
My husband David and I live on 52nd Ave & Tolman, in the Woodstock area. We'd love to be in on any SE Portland group pickup thingies.
We have just bought our first car (although it is small) and so we can pick up for others as well. As others have said, it would be nice to have to only go once a month.
Our tiny apartment would not work as a pickup site, though. No room for other peoples' food in our refrigerator, or for big coolers. Sorry!

We're also considering jumping ship, since we can't really make the pick up times work and signed up for this partially due to the convenience factor, but if we do, we might be willing to share pick ups with other folks in the SE area. We're between Hawthorne and Division near 39th.
Feel free to e-mail me at betsy nolan @ gmail (no spaces) if this sounds like a good idea. We have small sedans, and would like to know if food would be already packed or if we'd have to pick out other people's food, which seems like a huge hassle and organizational nightmare.
Best, Betsy

Seems like this would all be easier to arrange if we could all meet.
Would anyone be willing to meet up at one of the farm's Market Days or at some location in SE Portland so we could brainstorm in person?

I have been a drop site in Inner SE for the farm for quite a while (I'm at 33rd and Main). I would be happy to continue to be a drop/pickup site, but we don't have a car and I won't be able to drive out to the farm. So I'm offering my porch as pickup site in exchange for someone else picking up my bottle of milk and dozen eggs each week. I already have the coolers and ice packs and am in the habit of storing people's stuff each week, so that's not a problem. I'm also willing to organize the households that are driving out to the farm--keep a schedule of who's going when, and email them a reminder, etc. Let me know if you're interested in joining a group that would use my house as the pickup site. Thanks!

I'm afraid my husband and I cannot afford to continue our membership. Best of luck to everyone!

82nd Glisan here, could be a part of a "tag-team", I am a custom member, my order would be super easy to pick up. Levi, was helpful talking to you on the phone, will connect via email.
